It was also selected as a “role model city” for the United Nations Environment Program’s Generation Restoration initiative to share best practices on improving urban habitat and ecosystems. The City of Seattle takes a community-centered approach to meet the scale of the climate crisis by growing Seattle's equitable clean energy economy, ensuring a just transition away from fossil fuels, and investing in healthy, resilient, and well-connected communities.

At Aigen, we're building a future with no harmful chemicals in our food, where farmers thrive, communities prosper, and the planet flourishes.

With roots in farming, electric vehicles, robotics and impact investing, Rich Wurden and Kenny Lee founded Aigen in 2020 to connect farmers to breakthrough technologies, decarbonize agriculture, and improve human and planetary health. Aigen's Element robotic fleet can autonomously navigate, weed, and analyze row crops without any chemicals or diesel fuel. Offered as a service and powered 100% by solar and wind, Aigen's vehicles reduce farmers' workload and their reliance on fossil fuels, while increasing their crop and soil health.

Banyu Carbon

Banyu Carbon is developing a simple, light-driven process to remove CO2 from the surface ocean while generating solar electricity. It is projected to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide at a far lower cost than best-in-class competing approaches like direct air capture. Our first 360 tons of permanently stored CO2 has been pre-purchased by Stripe, Shopify, and H&M as part of a Frontier contract. We closed an oversubscribed $6.5M Seed round with a great group of investors including United Airline Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund, Grantham Foundation, ReGen, Propeller, and Carbon Removal Partners. We were recently featured in Bloomberg, Axios, and GeekWire, and appeared on OpenAir-ThisIsCDR and Carbon Removal Newsroom podcasts.

r.World's number one objective is to be the most sustainable reuse company in America both from an environmental and a social justice perspective. We build industrial wash hubs in economic development zones and we hire second chance folks in order to provide jobs and missions that folks can get behind and feel good about. We partner with Ecolab who provides our industrial wash machines which are calibrated to use the least amount of energy, water and chemicals. And we provide environmental impact reporting to our Customers that show the net impact of waste diversion, water, CO2, energy and crude oil savings after accounting for the r.World water use, CO2 for deliveries and pick-ups, etc.
